If certain parts of your yard aren’t properly lit, it can pose a real safety hazard. Solar lighting gets all the power it needs from the sun. It has a photovoltaic cell which converts solar energy into electricity and uses that to light the high powered LED lights. It’s a self-contained unit, so there’s no need to string wires to your house or anything.

The next problem is cost. If you buy cheap lights from the get-go, you’re going to be paying much more in the long run with operational costs. That’s because conventional lights are cheap to manufacture, but electricity costs will end up making them not a good idea. Instead, if you go with solar powered path lighting, you will be paying a little bit more up front, but in the end, because the lights won’t cost anything to operate, you’ll be saving a lot of money in the long run.
